He dedicates Sardinian brocade embroidered panels to those migrants who drowned in a desperate attempt to reach Europe. On these panels are photographs of ships overflowing with human beings who blend with the water. Women and men sink into the blue; only the dead make the news, but no one will be able to grieve over them: the sea’s surface, an empty cradle.
