In 2017, Montini lies on the ground in protest against Brexit and the rising of right wing sovereignism. His nude body is covered by an EU flag on which, using Sardinian brocade and other fabrics, he has embroidered a phrase uttered by EU’s ex parliamentary president Martin Schultz: “Wenn wir nicht dafür sorgen, dann wird das niemand Anderes machen” [“If we don’t do it no one will”]. A call for collaboration, for unity.
